THE HALF BUN


I've fallen in love with a new hair style – the half bun. You may have noticed the mild obsession if you follow me on Pinterest. I don't know what it is about it. I mean, I know it's an unusual look, but I just can't get enough of it. Maybe it's the granola eating hippy in me trying to climb its way out. At any rate, it's what I've been sporting at work most days of late. I've enjoyed pairing it with either a graphic eye or a bold lip in an attempt to keep it looking somewhat edgy and not just like I forgot to wash my hair for a week and now I'm running with it. So what do you guys think? Chic or filthy hippy?

    I've also had an obsession with the half bun recently. It just a beautiful way to pull the hair up out of the face. You really suit the style, it's chic for sure!

    I love this look but somehow aren't able to wear it. I can't really part my hair that way, it will always be tangled the worst it's ever been afterwards :/

    Seriously, bobby pins. I tried taking photos first without pinning it and I realized how messy it looked. So I just used a few in to secure the bun more to the base of my head.

    I get that so badly with full top knots sometimes. I don't know why it happens only sometimes, but that feeling where you take your hair down at the end of the day and it just hurts like crazy... not a good feeling.

    Haha a guy at work said I looked like a samurai. Clearly there's a vibe going on here. I love the short hair with the half bun. This picture is originally what got me obsessed with the hairsyle.

    I don't know why, but you wearing this hairstyle, with that graphic liner makes me think Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon hahaha. It's a good thing, you rock that half bun girl! I've been trying to figure out how to wear it myself, but it only works when I'm not trying and never when I actually want to wear it out…go figure ;) xx
