VALENTINE'S DAY LOOK #2: BOLD LIP

Valentine's Day look #1 was for those who wanted to keep it fairly natural and sweet. What we've got going today is for those who want a little more pizzazz. The red lip and black winged liner is a pretty classic Valentines look, but I thought I'd change it up a bit, instead opting for pink and bronze.

Face
I started by evening out the skin with some of my Everyday Minerals Foundation. I know I bang on about this stuff quite a bit, but it's a good choice for when my skin it feeling a little irritated and sore. As per usual, I touched up any blemishes with my MAC Studio Finish Concealer and brightened under the eyes with my MAC Prep and Prime Highlighter. I skipped blush and just stuck to the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer. I tend to play down the cheeks when I've got a bold lip going on.

Eyes
The eyes were quite simple. I avoided any eyeshadow and instead drew in a cat eye with my Zoeva Graphic Eyes Pencil in Glance. It's a gorgeous iridescent bronze shade with a creamy formula that sets like a rock. Zoeva has got it going on. Zoeva and Stacey's mom. Of course I popped on some of my trusty L'oreal Telescopic Mascara to boost the length of my lashes.

Lips
I turned to my ever-loved Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Liquid Lipstick in Pink Pong for this look. If you're going to go bold, this is the formula to do it with. It's long wearing and easy to apply. Plus, come on, dat colour. That being said, I still wouldn't use a bold lip like this if you're thinking of having an intense face slammin' sesh for Valentine's Day. It's long wearing, but not that long wearing. However if you're out for a Galentines dinner (I love you Leslie Knope) or a little light smooching is on the menu, I think it'll hold up.

Product List: Everyday Minerals Matte Base in Light, Mac Studio Finish Concealer in NC20, MAC Prep and Prime Highlighter in Light Boost, Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Brown, Zoeva Graphic Eyes Pencil in Glance, L'oreal Telescopic Masara, Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer, Tarte Smooth Operator Setting Powder, Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Pink Pong.

Have a fantastic Valentine's Day guys! Enjoy it whether you're with your significant other or hanging with you gal pals.

P.S. I didn't cut my hair, I just tucked it away.

  2. I love the way you've applied the Bourjois lippy, I have that exact shade but I must pack it on too much cuz it never looks as good! Great to hear that Zoeva eyeliners are amazing because I have been thinking about picking some up in the future but I rarely read any reviews on their makeup bits x

  8. Yeah I apply it quite sheer. I find it takes ages to set otherwise. And the Zoeva eyeliners are so good. Sharon's got one you can see in action here:
